Stephen King’s It is being remade with Hemlock Grove’s Bill Skarsgård in the role of Pennywise. The film has had some production difficulties — Cary Fukunaga left over what he thought was a bland, unoriginal screenplay — but the film is back on track with director Andy Muschietti (Mama) and scheduled for release in September 2017.
We don’t have a first look yet of the actual Pennywise, but we do have a sketch of what the new clown will look like, and if you use your imagination, it’s a fairly terrifying prospect.
That sketch makes it appear as though the new Pennywise will be a little more rabid, and a little more Ghost Rider than the original.
Still, no Zombieland clown.
