— Dexter Fletcher, the director behind Rocketman and the sort-of director of Bohemian Rhapsody, has been tasked with directing Sherlock Holmes 3, replacing Guy Ritchie in the franchise. Rocketman was great, but honestly, Ritchie was sort of perfect for those movies. RDJ and Jude Law are expected to return.

— Katee Sackhoff toplines a new sci-fi Netflix series called Another Life, which premieres on July 25th. It looks kind of generic and B-movie-y, but also kind of intriguing, mostly because of Sackoff and Steve/Jimmy from Shameless.

Preacher returns for its fourth and final season on AMC this August. The show improved a lot in its second and third seasons, although it’s sort of gotten lost in the Peak TV shuffle:

Psych will have a sequel to the movie that spun-off from the series. I do not object to this.

— I love David Fincher, but this honestly sounds like a snoozer and matters aren’t helped by the fact that he’s cast Gary Oldman in a biopic about the writer of Citizen Kane, Herman Mankiewicz. It’s called Mank and it will be filmed entirely in black-and-white. The film was written by Fincher’s father.

— Dave Bautista’s film My Spy has been mysteriously pulled from the summer schedule with no replacement date yet set. No one’s quite sure why yet.

— Paramount TV has ordered a 10-episode first season of a TV series based on Ben Kingsley’s Sexy Beast. Karyn Kusama will direct and act as showrunner.

- How to Get Away with Murder will end after next season, its sixth.

— Here’s your first look at Patrick Stewart in Star Trek: Picard.

— Finally, here’s a trailer for Soska Sisters Rabid, based on the Cronenberg flick. If you have an irrational fear of rabies, as I do, maybe avoid this.
