While Community has been cancelled and mostly left for dead (there are resurrection prospects, but neither Harmon nor the cast seem all that interested in pursuing it), the show’s main players are beginning now to head to other projects. Dan Harmon’s got Rick and Morty, Joel McHale is perhaps being considered as a replacement for Craig Ferguson, and now Gillian Jacobs is headed to HBO’s Girls, where she will have a recurring role in the fourth season as Mimi-Rose Howard.
That’s all we know about the character, except that she’ll appear first in the fifth episode titled, “Mimi Rose Howard.”
Jacobs is the second Community member to have a recurring role in the HBO series. Donald Glover appeared in a few episodes in season two as her black Republican boyfriend who absolutely schooled her on racial politics.
UNRELATED: HBO allows nudity. Just put that thought in your back pocket.
