The Real American Hero is Actually a Communist

The above clip is fan-fucking-tastic, if only because it gives you the opportunity to see a few blow-hard pundits discuss a topic they clearly have no knowledge about. It started when a conservative columnist, John Miller of The National Review, suggested that the new G.I. Joe movie may be Un-American because it not only dropped the tagline, “A real American hero,” but also the red, white, and blue colors. Meanwhile, the MSNBC anchors, who really shouldn’t be having this insipid argument in the first place, come off nearly as stupid in attempting to explain that the decision was a business one, based on the fact that the studio wants to appeal to international audiences. He even claims, at one point, that this is exactly why there will never be a Captain America movie. Er, hum.

The basic gist of it is this, however: These people have no business talking about movies, as evidenced by both sides attempting to argue the commercial merit of movies about the Iraq War without being able to actually come up with any titles (“I’ll email them to you.”) Note, also, that all of the above are troglodytic morons.

Besides, I say: What’s more American than an attractively thin British woman with an American accent encased in leather and packing cold hard steel? Charlie Heston’s corpse just got a boner.
