Tell No One, the French film based on the novel by America’s own Harlan Coben, rightfully opened to much acclaim and decent grosses a few years back, so it only makes sense that an English-language remake would be in the works. Focus and Miramax had split the remake rights, but now that Miramax doesn’t exist quite like it did then, it all falls on Focus to crank out the Yankee take on the material.

Now, word has it that the success of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo and the looming arrival of Let Me In has them finally getting things into gear. The L.A. Times reports that Andrew Dominik (The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, Chopper) is currently toiling away on his draft of the script.

The question that remains is, who should play the wronged doctor apparently contacted by his wife eight years after she was murdered? Though the original actor, François Cluzet, did look an awful lot like Dustin Hoffman, I think our own Boozehound nailed it when he brought up David Strathairn (even though he often strikes me as more of an authority figure than an everyman). And hey, Kristin Scott Thomas could just play herself! She could be the Peter Dinklage in this case.
