The fervent fandom of Game of Thrones led to IMAX history when HBO announced the series would be the first ever to hit the massive movie theater screens. Plans were set for the final two episodes of season four to play January 23rd through January 29th, as a precursor to season five’s April debut. BUT! You maniacs’ hunger for tickets was so ravenous that the theatrical release has been pushed back to allow more theaters to get in on the game.

The LA Times reports Game of Thrones will now run on IMAX January 29th through February 5th in more than 200 theaters. Episodes of “Watchers On The Wall” and “The Children” will be followed by a special trailer for season five. And that’s not all. At participating locations, the first 300 ticket holders on opening night will get a free collector’s poster drawn by Robert Ball depicting the brutal death of one of the show’s characters. My favorite’s below, but you can see his blood-dripping offering here.

Screenings will take place in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, Montreal, New York, San Antonio, Seattle, Toronto and Washington, D.C. and more locations are being added by the hour. Tickets go on sale Friday, but be warned purchasing tickets online has been slightly complicated by intense demand that has already seen the site crash. But you give it the good ol’ Stark try here.
