I’m not entirely sure if that is the premise to Alex Garland’s (Sunshine and 28 Days Later) directorial debut, Ex Machina, but that seems to be the jist. Domhnall Gleeson is super into a robotic woman’s body, and based on what Oscar Isaac’s character seems to be suggesting, the robot is using her sexuality to DESTROY MANKIND.
Or something like that. It looks like the kind of super cool sci-fi movie that will pull you in, keep you on the edge of your seat, and then ultimately disappoint in the last ten minutes, because these things never turn out well.
Ex Machina opens in April.
