Do You Wanna See A Rampage? 'Hardcore Henry: The Ultimate Fan Experience' Lets You See The Flick A Day Early
Fathom Events, the same people that bring Rifftrax: Live, Broadway shows, and other special events to movie theaters, want to bring you the premiere of Hardcore Henry. The event is dubbed Hardcore Henry: The Ultimate Fan Experience and tickets are on sale now for the April 7th screening and Q&A.
That’s right. There will be a Question and Answer portion of the night. The Q&A will have writer and director Ilya Naishuller and star Sharlto Copley answering questions sent in by fans. The best part is that you get to watch it while living in bumfuck wherever-you-are, instead of stealing the identity of that dude you went to school with who lives in California now and could probably legit score premiere tickets.
This way is much more legal.
If that isn’t enough to make you want to catch the flick a day earlier than its national release, attendees will also receive a limited-edition Hardcore Henry comic book. Then you can wave it in that one co-worker’s face and tell him you’ve already seen the movie that hasn’t premiered to the peasants yet; plus you got this rad comic that he may not touch. It’s win-win.
In case you haven’t seen or heard about it, Hardcore Henry is told from the first-person camera perspective of the title character. Henry is reanimated after death with the help of robotics and lasers. Alas, he has no memory of how he died or why, and only the word of his doctor/wife urging him on. Then a psychotic warlord kidnaps Henry’s wife and he begins his RAMPAAAAAAAGE. It’s like a first-person shooter being controlled by God or something.
