20th Century Fox announced today that my love, my life, my lady, Deadpool will be getting that movie after all. I SQUEALED WHEN I READ THE NEWS AND SCARED MY KID.
Ahem.
The movie will hit theaters Feb. 12, 2016, which is 13 days before my birthday and I am sure that’s just a coincidence. Ryan Reynolds is still rumored to star and director Tim Miller seems to still be in the driver’s seat. It appears that the script from Zombieland writers Rhett Rheese and Paul Wernick is still in play as well. It could be argued that the internet going apeshit over the “leaked” test footage was just the push needed to get Deadpool made for real.
Let us celebrate with chimichangas, beer, and all the photos of Deadpool you can stand. Maybe more.
