Doctor Who’s 10th Doctor, David Tennant, has signed on to play the villain in Netflix’s Jessica Jones limited series. Tennant will play Killgrave, who is also known as “The Purple Man.” He originally appeared as a nemesis for Daredevil and Luke Cage, but now will play opposite Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones.

I know know enough about Jones’ and Kilgore’s history, but based on the casting, I hope there’s a lot of sexual energy between villain and protagonist, and their fight sequences begin like this:

It has also been confirmed that Emma Watson — who was once attached to play Belle in a live-action version of Beauty and the Beast directed by Guillermo del Toro — will now play Belle in a live-action version of Beauty and the Beast directed by Twilight: Breaking Dawn director Bill Condon.

I hope the adaptation figures out a way for Watson to kick some ass. Like, maybe she decides that the Beast is really just an asshole who won’t stop stalking her, so she goes Julia Roberts in Sleeping with the Enemy on him.

I like Julia Roberts. She loves to laugh!

Meanwhile, while Ryan Reynolds has moved on from Green Lantern to Deadpool, Warner Brothers apparently seeking to try the whole Green Lantern movie thing again, and rather than do a sequel, they’re apparently just going to start all over again. Forbes is strongly recommending that they go after Bradley Cooper, because that’s just what a guy who has just been nominated three years in a row for original, non-superhero films needs: To get locked into one character for the next decade.
