CW's 'The Flash' Releases A Trailer, Assuring Us That Special Effects For Being Fast Still Blow

CW is expanding its DC show roster with The Flash, starring Grant Gustin (Glee) as Barry Allen. Allen is a CSI investigator that gets hit with lightning. I’m sorry, “chosen” by the lightning. Ugh.

Anyway, the lightning is magic and makes Allen super fast, as illustrated by slow motion and blurred motion. I mean, I can’t think of a better way to show super speed, but I know that we can’t really see super speed. But can’t we think of a better way to show it? Like, just not showing him? I guess?

It premieres October 7th. If you run fast enough, maybe you can blur right through the month of September.
