Craig Ferguson Promises He'll Host the 'Game of Thrones' Comic-Con Panel Wearing Chain Mail Underwear

July 25th: Mark the day you’ll miss the Game of Thrones panel at Comic-Con San Diego, just like me. Right? Did they plan this thing around my move back to the east coast? Bastards. Um, back to the business at hand; this year’s panel was announced by HBO today, and if any of you are lucky enough to go, please ask George when The Winds of Winter will be finished, because I’m really afraid no one will remember that question. Joining our illustrious favorite author will be David Benioff and Dan Weiss, Maisie Williams, Sophie Turner, Gwendoline Christie, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Natalie Dormer, Rose Leslie, Rory McCann, John Bradley and Pedro…WHAT? Pedro Pascal? Can someone pick me up off the floor? I need a moment to compose myself.

Okay, so back to the panel. I don’t know who we were expecting to host the panel, but it sure as heck wasn’t Craig Ferguson. Still, if the tweet he made earlier today holds any water, I’m down with him:

At the very least, they’ll all have fun comparing accents and I have no doubt Pedro’s Instagram will be filled with more glorious pictures.

Martin will also appear at his own panel to discuss “his novels, projects and new comic series, In the House of the Worm.” Wait, he’s working on a comic series too? Can someone please ask when Winds of Winter will be done, because I think he really forgot about it.

Cindy Davis’, (Twitter) head did not just explode.
