Christoph Waltz Wraps All Your Sesame Street Dreams in Despair, *and* Lands a Major Villain Role

My favorite German/Austrian import (besides Spätzle, because come on — homemade noodles) dropped by Jimmy Kimmel Live to promote Horrible Bosses 2 last night. When Kimmel asked if Austrian television aired Sesame Street, Christoph Waltz quickly informed him, “Not exactly. It’s called Sesamstraße…” and from there the differences in the German translation only grew. Describing the series as raw and full of despair, Waltz agreed to sing the theme to make sure he and Kimmel were talking about the same show, and well…it’s deep, and gut-wrenching, and you’ll never hear “Can you tell me how to get to Sesame Street” quite the same anymore.

I’ll do you one better, Christoph. I’ll drive you myself!

Of course, Kimmel couldn’t let that go by without some groovy 70s footage of Waltz singing in a striped unitard.

I think he actually pulls it off, but that’s no way for a BOND VILLAIN to dress. That’s right, you *heard* me; Waltz just signed on for Bond 24:

Waltz joins Daniel Craig, Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris, Chiwetel Ejiofor femme fatale Léa Seydoux, Dave Bautista, and Rory Kinnear. Variety (via Daily Mail) says Waltz will be playing an “extremely cunning…nemesis of sorts.” Perfect.

Bond 24 is directed by Sam Mendes, written by Sam Logan and hits theaters November 6, 2015.
