They may be the Nine-Nine, but they’re losing their human 100 emoji: Today, Chelsea Peretti announced that she would not be sticking around for the full upcoming season of Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
B99 fans. Hiiiiiiiiiiii. Chelsea Peretti, here. I won't be doing a full season of Brooklyn Nine Nine in Season 6. But that doesn’t mean I won’t ever be back, winky face emoji, heart emoji. I want to thank you for the hours you spent watching Gina be Gina:

SAD FACE!
If you’ll remember, NBC saved the cop-office comedy from cancellation, and last month announced that they had ordered 5 more episodes for the 6th season, bringing the full episode count to 18. Perhaps Peretti simply didn’t sign up for the additional episodes, or maybe she’s got other projects on the horizon. All we know is that Gina Linetti will be missed, though thankfully she won’t be gone for good… and she’s probably going to have a freaking PHENOMENAL exit:

Whatever, I’m sure Gina will suddenly take a job as a social media manager for one of the Kardashians or something. We’ll have to wait and see what happens when the show makes its midseason debut on NBC. But in the meantime, let’s pour one out for Linetti in our favorite internet fashion: .GIF PARTAYYYYY!
