Celebrity Inception: Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Prepare to Spread Their Love Over Malta

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt famously fell in love while filming Mr. and Mrs. Smith, so it seems appropriate they’ll take things to the next level in their second joint acting venture. By the Sea, written and directed by Jolie and costarring Pitt, began filming in Malta, Sunday. Mgarr ix-Xini beach on Gozo was closed to the public, and set construction was said to be well underway. Thus far, all we know about the “very heavy” story is that Brangelina (the only actors listed) are a couple “going through and surviving a lot together,” and that they get married. Jolie has said that she and Pitt have nervous about being able to handle the material, which seems rather humble for two actors who have both been nominated for and won enough awards to cover a marble mantle…but that’s not necessarily a bad thing.

Now here’s the thought I had this morning; what if the wedding they film is real? Both Pitt and Jolie know how difficult it will be for them to finally marry without a horde of paparazzi descending upon them like locusts…but what a brilliant coup it would be if they actually did it a) in public, and b) the world could all watch over and over as many times as they liked, and c) the couple made money every time we did. Would that not be the celebrity stroke of brilliance to end all celebrity strokes? (Yeah, I know that makes no sense, but go with it anyway.) CLICKME.

This is a lot to handle on a Monday morning, so go get more caffeine, and try to stop clicking that button.

This is not a spoiler. Cindy Davis, (Twitter) is merely speculating.
