For those of you with clown phobias who were terrified by the television miniseries adaptation of Stephen King’s It featuring Tim Curry’s Pennywise, I have terrible news for you: A real director will be taking on the big-screen version, and this guy is capable of truly fucking up your psyches.

Cary Fukunaga, who brought Reggie Ledoux to life in True Detective


… will begin shooting next summer. And his script has Stephen King’s blessing. Expect some combination of the Zombieland clown, a gas mask, and Twisty the Clown.
