Can't Make it to Broadway? Not to Fear, Bryan Cranston Will Bring Broadway to You

If you missed Bryan Cranston in his Broadway run as Lyndon Johnson, either because you don’t live in New York, or you don’t have $100+ to regularly spend on theatre tickets, or you just, I don’t know, had THINGS to do, stop beating yourself up. Last month Stephen Spielberg optioned the rights to the play, All the Way, and it’s now been announced that an adaptation is being planned for HBO. There’s no word yet as to whether this will be a straight adaptation, or more a “filmed theatrical event,” but either way, Cranston (who won the Tony this year for his performance) is set to reprise his role.

Now, I need you all to do me a solid and EVERYONE watch this to get the ratings up, okay? Then other productions will follow suit until finally every Broadway show is available from my sofa. Because I’m pretty sure that’s the only way I’ll ever be able to see Neil Patrick Harris as Hedwig.
