It’s been awhile since we’ve seen Brian DePalma. He made a movie in 2007 called Redacted, which I have no memory of, and Black Dahlia in 2006, which I wish I had no memory of. His career over the last 20 years can be described as spotty, at best, and he certainly hasn’t approached the level of The Untouchables during that period.
But then again, a lesbian thriller with Rachel McAdams and Noomi Rapace is just the kind of thing a forgotten director needs to turn his career around, isn’t it?
