This morning at London’s Pinewood Studios, Sam Mendes revealed the Bond 24 title in an appropriately dramatic fashion:
Familiar to Bond fans, of course (SPecial Executive for Counter-intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge and Extortion).
The director also announced beginning Monday (and over the next seven months), shooting will take place in London, Rome Mexico City, Tangier, Morocco, and Austria.
The latest gorgeous Bond vehicle, the Astin Martin DB10 was dramatically uncovered:
Returning cast confirmed are: Rory Kinnear, Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris, Ralph Fiennes — and of course, Daniel Craig — as were all the new additions.
We’d heard Dave Bautista, who’s rumored to be the new Jaws, had signed on; he’ll play “Mr. Hinx.”
Christoph Waltz (reportedly cast as the next incarnation of Ernst Stavro Blofeld) is confirmed as “Oberhauser,” and Léa Seydoux will play “Madeleine Swann”:
Monica Bellucci will play “Lucia Sciarra”:
And finally, Mendes introduced a Sherlock star — surprisingly *not* filmdom’s hardest working bad guy, Benedict Cumberbatch…
Andrew Scott joins as “Denbigh,” a new addition to the Whitehall family”:

The Skyfall writing team (John Logan, Neal Purvis, Robert Wade) returns, and cinematographer Hoyte Van Hoytema (Interstellar, Her, Let the Right One In) is Spectre’s DP. The film is scheduled for release November 6, 2015.
