For One, Fleeting Moment, Life Is Good
Look, 2016 has been a pretty crap year, so we need to appreciate the good bits when we can, no matter how seemingly insignificant they are. Chris McKay, director of eventual Best Picture Oscar winner The Lego Batman Movie, has confirmed via Twitter that the Lego version of Two-Face is voiced by none other than Billy Dee Williams.

“Well that’s pretty cool,” you may be thinking to yourself. “I like Billy Dee, and he wields a sweet space cape.” Stop right there! That’s not why this casting is so great! Well, yes, it is. But also. Billy Dee Williams played pre-Two-Face Harvey Dent in Tim Burton’s Batman (1989), only to be replaced by Tommy Lee Jones when it was time for the baddie to have a bigger presence come 1995’s Batman Forever. So Billy Dee Williams playing Two-Face here, even in what is likely to be a very small role, is perfection of the Lego Batman chef kiss variety.
This is some deep cut nerd shit, and I love it. Just FYI, the LEGO Batman cast also includes Will Arnett (Batman), Michael Cera (Robin), Ralph Fiennes (Alfred), Rosario Dawson (Barbara Gordon/Batgirl), Jenny Slate (Harley Quinn), Zach Galifianakis (The Joker), and the one, the only Mariah Carey as the Mayor of Gotham.
