Baseless Speculation About Tomorrow's "LIVE, Spontaneous Evening Of Rick And Morty"
If you haven’t yet heard, Adult Swim has announced a mysterious… something tomorrow night, involving Rick And Morty creators Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon. It will stream on AdultSwim.com. It will be live, and spontaneous. It will start at 9pm EST on June 29th.
“Don’t miss it. Or be late. Trust us.” And that’s about all the information that has been released.
With a long-awaited third season that is due to arrive sometime this summer, a premiere episode that April Fooled its way into our lives earlier this year, and a string of Twitter explanations from Harmon about how they are taking their time getting season three right and totally aren’t fighting you guys, c’mon, expectations are high for this upcoming stunt.
Will they finally announce the season three premiere date?
Will they debut another new episode?
Will they announce the return of McDonald’s Mulan Szechuan Sauce by slathering themselves in it over the course of several live-streamed hours?
Will Roiland drink heavily and do a freestyle in-character improv, while Harmon looks on and nods approvingly?
Will they drive the Rickmobile into the studio audience while chaos ensues?
And for the love of all that is holy, will they finally give us some goddamn Pickle Rick?!
There is only one way to find out — tune in tomorrow and see for yourself. And if you’re one of the lucky few who got tickets to see it in person, just know that your lucky ass is dead to us. DEAD. DO YOU HEAR ME?
