Based On These Posters Alone Which Of The Following Are You Most Likely To See?

Casa De Mi Padre

The Paperboy

“The 84th Academy Awards”

Honestly, I dig both of the movie posters. I’ve already decided to see Casa De Mi Padre based on the previous poster and trailer, and Paperboy looks like the gritty, sexed-up video game adaptation I never knew I always wanted. But, without question, I’ll be watching the Oscars. I won’t be invested in who wins or loses, I doubt I’ll laugh at the tritely written jokes, and I couldn’t care less about who is wearing who. I won’t want to watch it, but I’ll be compelled. Which is probably why the Academy doesn’t bother with making their annual nationally televised circle-jerk at all interesting. They know that those of us who are going to watch are going watch no matter what they do.

Rob Payne also writes the indie comic The Unstoppable Force, tweets on the Twitter @RobOfWar, and his ware can be purchased here (if you’re into that sort of thing). He’ll also be watching so he’ll understand all of @DougBenson’s jokes during his live-tweet of the ceremony.
