CW’s Arrow and The Flash two-part crossover episode begins tonight (“Flash vs. Arrow”) and continues Wednesday (“The Brave and the Bold”). As per usual, neither series takes itself too seriously — which in my opinion is a great part of both shows’ success. Of course, the parade of adorable leads doesn’t hurt either. Crossing-over the two leads (and fan-favorite, Felicity) is also a super-smart move that Greg Berlanti hopes to carry on with his upcoming CBS series, Supergirl. Speaking of Kara Zor-El — and the CW — rumor has it that Vampire Diaries and Originals star, Claire Holt is up for the lead role.
She’s got the look…but even though I wouldn’t want to lose her as Felicity, I can’t help wishing it were Emily Bett Rickards up for the role.
In addition to “Kara Danvers,” the series is looking to cast Supergirl’s foster sister, Alexandra Danvers, as well as Cat Grant, James Olsen, WInslow ‘Wynn’ Schott and Hank Henshaw.
For now, we’ll have to content ourselves with these two
goofballs superheroes bumping egos and abilities. Not too shabby a way to pass a couple of December hours, I’d say.
I’m telling you guys, Felicity needs her own series.
