Annie Potts Will Be In 'Ghostbusters!'...Also Ernie Hudson
Ask and ye shall receive! Annie Potts will be in Paul Feig’s Ghostbusters, as will Ernie Hudson. She is reportedly playing a hotel clerk, while his role is currently unknown.
As soon as news hit Bill Murray would be bestowing his presence on the new Ghostbusters, fans wondered if the rest of the original gang would be making a comeback in cameos. Dan Aykroyd was a given, as he’s been pushing hard for the relaunch of this franchise for ages. But Ernie Hudson had talked smack about the idea of a female-fronted Ghostbusters, saying “all-female I think would be a bad idea” and “If they’re not funny at least hopefully it’ll be sexy.”
He later backpedalled spectacularly, tweeting of the casting of Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones “Four fiercely funny, foxy, females busting ghosts … phenomenal!” But yeah, we’re still bummed about it.
Anyhow, onto the really exciting bit: ANNIE MOTHERFUCKING POTTS!
Now what about Rick Moranis and Sigourney Weaver?
Kristy Puchko still strives to have Janine in Ghostbusters II-level cool. As we all should.
