Adam Ellis was best known for his Buzzfeed comics before he began detailing strange dreams and occurrences on social media. It all began with an August 7, 2017, tweet about the dead kid haunting Ellis’s apartment.
So, my apartment is currently being haunted by the ghost of a dead child and he's trying to kill me. (thread)

Updates, videos, and more pieces of the story were shared on social media until the child ghost, named Dear David, seemingly appeared in photos taken while Ellis slept. The entire story is a great read, with all 408 posts collected on Wakelet for your reading pleasure.
Today Ellis announced the following news:
Some Dear David news: Dan Lin (producer of ‘IT’) will be producing a Dear David film with screenwriter Mike Van Waes (writer of ‘The Conjuring’ spinoff ‘The Crooked Man’) attached. pic.twitter.com/NpM9Ej7ih5

I look forward to seeing the tale of a child with half of his head missing haunting a comic writer and illustrator on the big screen. FOR REALS.
