Book readers could probably see this coming, but with an expanded role in the fifth season of Game of Thrones, it appears as though Aimee Richardson is likely out as Myrcella Baratheon, who we haven’t seen on Game of Thrones since she was shipped off to Dorne. The fifth season will likely see Cersei’s daughter getting involved with Prince Trystane of Dorne.
The actress being rumored to replace Aimee Richardson is Nell Tiger Free, who has a very small CV. She is 14.
Winter Is Coming first reported the potential recasting, and while HBO hasn’t confirmed it, Richardson seemed to hint at the recasting on Twitter.
She also retweeted this, as well as several other mentions that she’d been recast.
Bummer for Richardson.
