Most of you fans of The Walking Dead have been hearing talk about a new spin-off coming soon. There’s been casting news, and discussions of the setting, but we didn’t have an official title until yesterday when Robert Kirkman tweeted this:
IT'S OFFICIAL! The walking dead companion show on AMC is called FEAR THE WALKING DEAD! Expect more news very soon! #FearTheWalkingDead

So, not the most creative name for a new series but at least they’re beating the CSI: Throw a Dart at the Map naming convention. However, it does beg the question of what other verbs one could throw in front of The Walking Dead and still have a compelling title.
Fear the Walking Dead will air a six-episode season this summer, with second season already scheduled for next year. It will be set in Los Angeles (even though they’ve been filming in Pennsylvania) and should be an interesting new look at the zombie outbreak in an urban setting.
