Remember when we met Nick in the pilot episode of Fear the Walking Dead. Remember this picture: It’s one of the last times we saw him not wearing his trusty jacket.
Later in the pilot episode, Nick gets run over by a car while running from a zombie and is admitted into the hospital. However, when he escapes from the hospital, he grabs a bag of clothes from the hospital and throws them on.
In one scene, he’s not wearing his jacket.
He walks around the corner, however, and BAM! He’s suddenly wearing that jacket. We never saw him put it on. It magically appeared on his back.
It’s a powerful jacket.
That jacket has been a constant friend to Nick throughout the series. It was with him when he shot a man in the chest while that man was pressed up against his chest.
The jacket remained with him when he watched Flight 462 go down, while he was searching the neighborhood for drugs.
He did take it off briefly when he went sunbathing.
But it was right back on him when he was imprisoned with Strand by the military.
He was wearing it when he narrowly avoided being eaten alive by a zombie horde.
He was still wearing it when he saved his mother by bashing a zombie to death with a hammer.
Nick got bloody, but that jacket remained clean.
It remained clean even after he used a boat motor to chop up a zombie head.
Nick even went swimming with the jacket (and confronted two zombies while underwater).
But the jacket, as of last night’s episode, remains immaculate.
That’s an impressive jacket. It’s called a Baracuta Beige G9 Original Shell Jacket, which retails for $345. Unfortunately, it’s completely sold out in all retailers.
