This week’s episode of The Walking Dead was almost entirely a flashback, filling in Morgan Jones’ backstory and, more importantly, establishing that pacifism can be just as dangerous to the survival of others as stupidity. I love Morgan Jones, but the man’s code has already cost many their lives, and is likely to cost the lives of many more. He’s like a backhanded villain.
The episode didn’t offer much of anything new to the ongoing narrative, but for those wondering about the fate of Glenn after last week’s episode, the credit sequence might have offered the slightest of clues.
According to Vulture, Steven Yeun’s name didn’t show up in The Walking Dead credits for the first time ever. That could mean he’s no longer a cast member.
Or it could mean that the producers are just trolling us.
Like Grainger, I liked the episode, but I’m also sympathetic to the perspective of Tiny Terry in Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
