I find the Important Stuff so you don’t have to.

5. Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner Welcomed Their Third Child, a Son.

The couple gave the boy a disappointing normal name: Samuel Garner Affleck. Welcome to the world, little fella!

4. Joel Kinnaman Is the New Robocop.

Seems like MGM thinks the time is right for a RoboReboot; José Padilha (Elite Squad) is on board to direct and Nick Schenk (Gran Torino) is writing the script. Though Kinnaman is certainly wasted on AMC’s “The Killing,” hopefully he doesn’t get caught up in being an action star—that would be an even bigger waste.

3. Rumor Has It That Benedict Cumberbatch Could Be Coming To “Doctor Who” As The Master.

It’s well known that our beloved, tortured Sherlock is a huge fan of the series; at one time he even mulled over playing the Doctor. As this 2010 interview snippet hints, Cumberbatch is definitely interested in some sort of multi-episode role. Thus far, we only have a rumor: an unnamed source told British tabloid The Daily Express, “It’s fitting that the Doctor comes face to face with his ultimate enemy The Master for the 50th anniversary and it’s felt Benedict is the perfect choice if schedules can work.” Matt Smith’s quick response—he’s “not heard anything about it”—is suspicious enough to give us pause. When last we saw the Master, he was played with verve by the fabulous John Simm, but there is little doubt Who fans wouldn’t be just as thrilled to see Cumberbatch step in to give the role his own brand of quirk.

2. Well, Put on Your Rubber Suit and Slap Me On the Ass, Because They’re Baaack!

Ryan Murphy announced Jessica Lange (Connie), Zachary Quinto (Chad), Evan Peters (Tate), Sarah Paulson (Billie) and Lily Rabe (Nora) are all returning to “American Horror Story” however, season 2 will feature the actors in new roles. While few details are being released, Murphy has said that the actors will all be playing the opposites of their previous roles, somewhere at an East coast “horror institution.” In the first season’s penultimate episode “Birth,” an utterance by psychic Billie is said to provide a clue to the second season location. And while “AHS” still promises to delve into the supernatural, the trapped ghosts storyline is over, and the creators (Murphy and Brad Falchuk) promise to stick to their self-imposed no vampires or werewolves rule.

1. George Clooney and Brad Pitt Headed Up a Cast Doing a Live Reading of Dustin Lance Black’s Play, 8.

The play tells what happened when “discrimination against gay and lesbian Americans was put on trial.” Directed by Rob Marshall, the reenactment of Perry vs. Schwarzenegger also featured Martin Sheen, Kevin Bacon, John C. Reilly, Jamie Lee Curtis, Christine Lahti, Jane Lynch, Matthew Morrison, Matt Bomer, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Jane Lynch, James Pickens Jr., Chris Colfer, Yeardley Smith, Campbell Brown and George Takei took place at LA’s Wilshire Ebell Theatre and was live streamed on Youtube. As Sandy Stier and Kris Perry, Jamie Lee Curtis and Christine Lahti brought warmth and heart to the production
