Cleverness Is His Superpower: Five Tasty Tidbits from "Sherlock" Series 2
After a lengthy delay in filming due to other schedule commitments (Martin Freeman and Benedict Cumberbatch both star in The Hobbit and Steven Moffat was tied up with “Doctor Who”), BBC One’s “Sherlock” Series 2 will finally debut across the pond in January. Moffat and Mark Gatiss’ dark, modern take on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s detective, along with the brilliant combination of actors left audiences salivating for more; only three episodes per year is practically cruel and unusual torture. But soon the waiting will be over and here are a few tidbits to whet your appetites.
1. Series 2 begins airing the first of three episodes on BBC One, January 1, 2012 with “A Scandal in Belgravia,” written by Steven Moffat. “The Hounds of Baskerville,” written by Mark Gatiss airs January 8th, followed by the January 15th debut of “The Reichenbach Fall,” written by Steve Thompson. PBS is set to run the episodes in May 2012, as if anyone could wait that long.
