A Guide To Recognizing Your Pajiban Saints: Volume I
Hardy has been acting since his debut in 2001’s Black Hawk Down. He became a Pajiba darling sometime after appearing in Bronson and RocknRolla in 2008.
The English actor can be spotted by his dedication to a role, his love of dogs, and his mischievous smile. Hardy’s commitment to playing varied characters in different genres makes him one of our favorites. Look for him to reprise the role of Max Rockatansky in Mad Max: The Wasteland in the near future or see him now in The Revenant.
Often referred to only as SWINTON, Saint Tilda has been acting since 1986. She didn’t really ping the Pajiba radar until she became regularly featured on Go Fug Yourself after her appearance in The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.
The majestic SWINTON exudes confidence, magic, and androgynous sexuality. You may find her spouting gems like “It’s a real comfort zone for me to feel alien” or “I am a soldier. I live a soldier’s life when I’m working. That’s how it feels to me, except I’ve got a slightly greater chance of survival”. Perhaps you’ll see her immersed to the teeth in a character for movies like Snowpiercer or her upcoming role as The Ancient One in Marvel’s Doctor Strange.
Ms. Stone became a Pajiba favorite after her performance in Super Bad made us all think that maybe Jonah Hill *is* attractive, if this gorgeous and vivacious redhead can have that kind of chemistry with him. We will ignore her 2005 debut in The New Partridge Family television movie.
Stone may have had some missteps since her Easy A days, but we would continue to list her as a favorite even if Wichita in Zombieland had been her last good role. Luckily for us, and for her, Stone has shown depth and range with roles in The Help, Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance), and her upcoming role as Billie Jean King in Battle of the Sexes.
A fairly new addition to the Pajiban Saint roster, Atwell impressed us all with her portrayal of Agent Peggy Carter in 2011’s Captain America: The First Avenger. Lesser actresses would have fallen into the scenery when sharing scenes with Tommy Lee Jones, Chris Evans, and Chris Evans’ ass. Instead, Atwell brought the strong and loyal Carter to her rightful place beside Captain America. Not behind him, but at the forefront of his journey and the creation of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Atwell has taken Peggy Carter throughout different eras of the Marvel Universe in movies and television. Though her immediate future holds just one character in spades, Atwell is sure to continue bringing her special spark and presence to our screens for years to come.
R-Squared for life, people. RIDE OR DIE. Many of us (possibly just Dustin and me) have stuck with Reynolds through his career lows and highs. We loved him on Two Guys and A Girl, lost our panties when he was Hannibal King in Blade Trinity, and continued to root for him through Green Lantern, R.I.P.D., and The Nines. We could see the something in him that people refer to as el something.
Reynolds has obviously busted any reservations Hollywood may have had about his ability to open a blockbuster movie, as his Deadpool destroyed records like National Women’s Day destroys assholes. His charm, charisma, and ability to poke fun at himself for a laugh gives him a lifetime pass for me. And Dustin.
