7 TV Shows to Never Watch During Dinner

It’s an occupational hazard that I can’t remember the last time I ate a meal while not watching television. And that, now that I think about it, may be why I stopped watching The Walking Dead so long ago. Because there are only so many times you can see a human or former human’s innards spewed out before you either need to turn off the Netflix or put down the fork.

What follows are a bunch of GIFs that will make you put down the fork. And maybe spew up your own innards. So take a moment and prep yourself to never eat again.

The Walking Dead
The Walking Dead diet is, guaranteed, the best way to never want dinner again.

I wanted to include a GIF of the well zombie, and couldn’t bring myself to look it up. Even without food in front of me.

American Horror Story
Does fetishized gore whet your appetite? No? THEN STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM THIS SHOW DURING MEAL TIME.

The Knick
I have to be honest, I’ve never actually seen The Knick. (I KNOW.) But this GIF is enough to let me know to always keep it separate from food stuffs.

The Strain
Between eyeball stuff—

Unless you’re eating pure blood for dinner, STAY AWAY.

And, well, other stuff—

This is a big ol’ no thank you.

Any cooking show
No gore involved here; it’ll just make you really disappointed in your own dinner.

This is probably the worst show to watch while eating, and I think I watched every single episode of the series during meals. Because to start with, yes, there is a lot of gross gore.

*Insert GIF of Mason Verger eating his own face that I don’t even want to look up*
But there’s also that cooking show element, if cooking shows all used ingredients of human innards. So you’ll spend entire episodes being grossed out, envious, and then even more gross because you’ve just drooled over roast person leg.

Does that look like pork? It’s probably not pork. Happy eating!
