Chris Pratt & Anna Faris
The two were married in 2009, when Faris was at the height of her House Bunny fame. Pratt wasn’t a nobody— he’d done Everwood and some other things, but he’d be the first to tell you his fame level was nowhere near his wife’s:

I’ve had those moments where I was like the guy holding the purse at events and people just looked right through me. And, you know, actors come up and just blatantly hit on my wife in front of me and don’t even look at me. I’m like ‘What the f***, dude?
Faris is still doing well on Mom, but just in the last year, Pratt has mega-exploded.

Hugh Jackman & Deborra-Lee Furness
When they got married in 1996, Furness was a more established actress in Australia. Now, well… Wolverine. ‘Nuff said, right?

Steve & Nancy Carrell
This one could be a toss-up, but I’m guessing most of us became aware of Nancy Walls before we did Steve. In 1996, when they were married, Walls was on Saturday Night Live, while Carrell was on The Dana Carvey Show. They both joined The Daily Show in 1999.

Jon Hamm & Jennifer Westfeldt
When they got together in 1998, Jon Hamm had one acting credit: “Gorgeous Guy at Bar” on an episode of Ally McBeal. Things hadn’t picked up much by 2001, when Westfeldt co-wrote and starred in Kissing Jessica Stein. Hamm was struggling as an actor right up until becoming Don Draper in 2007.

Sarah Jessica Parker & Matthew Broderick
When they got married in 1997, Sarah Jessica Parker had done a LOT. She was the go-to quirky friend in 80s comedies, plus she’d already done Hocus Pocus and First Wive’s Club. So she wasn’t exactly a struggling actor. But Matthew Broderick was goddamn Ferris Bueller. The next year, however, SJP became Carrie Bradshaw and outshadowed her husband fame-wise, at least during the show’s run. Now… I don’t know. A tie?

Megan Mullally & Nick Offerman
In 2003, when they married, Mullally had won multiple Emmys for her role on Will & Grace. Nick Offerman was playing bit roles on TV (including one on Will & Grace), and acting in plays for which he was also building the sets. Megan Mullally continues to be professionally awesome, but Offerman has attained full cultish superstardom.
