The 1979 sci-fi/horror/thriller/bad-ass female-led gamechanger Alien was released 35 years ago (as of June 22, to be precise). Today, however, gets to be Alien Day because it is 4/26, which matches the number of moon LV-426, which is where Ripley and her crew first encountered Xenomorphs.
Ta-da! A day for Nike to release shoes celebrating Alien, charging $180 for them, and only making them in men’s sizes, proving that they don’t give a fuck about anything but making money.

1. Spaceballs
2. “Sweet Seymour Skinner’s Baadasssss Song” - The Simpsons
