Everyone’s favorite possible John Stamos dater, Amy Poehler, officially became a published author today with the release of her Yes Please. I don’t own it, but I already know it will be one of my favorite books of the year. Poehler is only the latest TV star to write a memoir of sorts, joining Neil Patrick Harris, Lena Dunham, and B.J. Novak, among others. But here are 10 other TV actors who should set pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard) before Christmas so I’ll have something to stuff stockings with.
Kyle Chandler
What it should include: How to have the perfect marriage, even (especially?) with an annoying kid (not talking about his real-life kids, though).
Ilana Glazer & Abbi Jacobson
What it should include: Their daily routines and what their collaboration writing style is like. I bet it’s absolutely fascinating.
Chris Pratt
What it should include: The wacky adventures and mishaps he’s gotten himself into during his younger years. Also, EVERWOOD GOSSIP.
Julianna Margulies
What it should include: The process of leaving ER when it was a massive hit and how to be a badass person on mostly bland network TV.
Hannibal Buress
What it should include: Doesn’t matter. I just want to know how his impossibly funny comedic delivery style translates to the page. I bet it does.
Julia Louis-Dreyfus
What it should include: Stories about nothing from behind the scenes on Seinfeld.
Lauren Graham
What it should include: How she fell in love with Nate Fis…er, I mean Peter Krause and why she allegedly didn’t get along with Scott Patterson on the Gilmore Girls set.
John Mulaney
What it should include: Why his titular sitcom was such an unwatchable trainwreck and his feelings on it being canceled after one season (I assume).
Jenny Slate
What it should include: The final and only take ever on the SNL fiasco.
Keri Russell
What it should include: Her true thoughts on Team Ben versus Team Noel.
