Once, for some reason I can’t remember now, I ate a raw potato on a train. That was not a fun experience. The train was fine; the potato—though technically edible—didn’t want to be eaten like that. It was the first thing I thought of when I saw this AskReddit thread, posing the question: ‘What’s the absolute worst food you’ve ever eaten?’ I’m not sure if the potato is the worst, but it’s definitely up there.
