Reddit Asks the Question: 'What's Something That Makes You Go 'How the Hell Did Anyone Figure This Out?''

It doesn’t matter how old I get, or how much I learn about the world and any number of the specific wonders that exist in it—from natural to human-made—I’m still very frequently left in a stoner-stereotype-like appreciation and slack-jawed bamboozlement by the sheer complexity and wonder of so much of it. Everything from, say, the Great Barrier Reef to open-heart surgery, often has me staring blankly in appreciation while thinking, ‘How the hell did that ever get to where it is?’ Reddit had the human-made side of this topic on its mind the other day when it asked the question: ‘What’s something that makes you wonder: ‘How the hell did anyone figure this out?!’ You can check out the full thread here, but below are some highlights:
