Reddit Asks the Question: 'What Will Never Be the Same Once the Pandemic Is Over?'

AskReddit asked an interesting question the other day: ‘What will never be the same once the pandemic is over?’ I think about this a lot. There are so many things that Covid-19 has changed or is changing. For one thing, governments around the world are using the pandemic as cover for a flurry of privatisation. Then there is all the potential for home working that has been opened up, of course. One thing I keep thinking of is mental health, and how we’re gonna be seeing the ramifications of the lockdown cycles, the mass death, and the economic stresses that were inflicted upon people by an uncaring capitalist model during a pandemic, for a long, long time. What’s even more fun is that due to climate change we will be seeing more and more coronaviruses sweeping the globe in the coming decades, so this has all likely just been the tip of the iceberg.
