Reddit Asks the Question: 'What Movie Was Better Than the Book It Was Based On, and Why?'

There’s a legend that comes out of the deepest United States. It speaks of a wrathful spirit, long in tooth and claw, and even longer in withering contempt. Fields blacken and fools are scattered to the winds when it comes. Different regions have different names for it based on local traditions and fears, but all know it on sight when they have the misfortune to glimpse it in deepest night, resting at the edge of the firelight, waiting. Or at least, they’d like to think it was misfortune, though deep down they know they brought it on themselves, they called it forth from the forbidden depths themselves when they uttered the words, ‘Actually I think the movie was better than the book!’ Some who dare utter the wrathful spirit’s name out loud call it ‘Steven Lloyd Wilson’.
