Reddit Asks the Question: 'What Disappeared From the World and No-One Noticed?'

I’m not entirely sure what the cause is, but I feel like I’ve aged at least five years in the past year. As with most things, it’s probably a combination of factors, the specifics of which I won’t go into here as it’s nothing particularly noteworthy or interesting, but the end result is that I find myself looking backward to what must surely be soon approaching an unhealthy degree. It’s difficult. You try not to. You know that’s a foolish path to go down. And yet you can’t help it. The way you look at things starts to sharply divide: The future is treated practically, viewed with cold, pragmato-vision, while the past—naturally—gets bathed in a warm, nostalgic glow. Fight it, reassert reality as much as you want, a degree of that is almost always inevitable.
