The biggest drama in RuPaul’s Drag Race season 10 may be brewing off-camera, as one contestant has teased a face-cracking secret. One of these queens voted for Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election.

First off, yes. The LGBTQA+ community is not a monolith and log cabin Republicans are a thing. STILL tho, it’s pretty damn shocking that a drag queen would vote for Trump, whose running mate was Mike Pence, a virulent homophobe of the highest degree. Which is why Asia O’Hara knew she was stirring the pot when she posted “Wondering if I should release which season X Queen voted for trump…”

You won’t find this post on Asia’s Instagram now. But the deleted post quickly caught the attention of Drag Race fans, who instantly began wildly speculating BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT WE DO.

Let’s start off by assuming all the queens voted, and so are on the table as suspects. Then, let’s assume that they voted in the states from which they were based in ep one. It seems unlikely that Trump, who has a long history of racist bullshit to his credit on top of the Pence-pairing, would not likely win the vote of a black queen. So, assume Asia is not alluding to herself, Mayhem Miller, Monique Heart, Monét X Change, or The Vixen.

It’s improbable that an NYC queen would vote for the big, bloated embarrassment that’s sparked countless protests in his hometown. Or if they did, they sure as hell wouldn’t say so aloud if they ever expected to get booked in the city’s limits again. So, that crosses out Yuhua Hamasaki, Aquaria, Dusty Ray Bottoms, and Miz Cracker.

Which leaves Indiana’s Blair St. Clair, New Mexico’s Kalorie Karbdashian-Williams, Tennesse’s Eureka O’Hara and Kameron Michaels, and Florida’s Vanessa Miss Vanjie Mateo. So let’s break it down.

Kameron Michaels: Nope! Ahead of the election, Michaels took a break from posting gorgeous pics of himself in and out of drag to share a video in support of #StrongerTogether, which he made with his mom. A year later, he reposted it, advocating for trans rights and declaring, ” @realdonaldtrump DOES NOT speak for me or my brothers and sisters. This is OUR country, not his.”

Vanessa Vanjie Mateo: It’s been speculated that Asia’s Insta was sparked by jealousy over Miss Vanjie going viral and snatching the spotlight from the un-eliminated queens. Florida did go to Trump. However, Latinos in Florida favored Clinton to Trump, 62 to 35. So, she’s got statistics on her side.

Kalorie Karbdashian-Williams: New Mexico went to Clinton. Kalorie wasn’t around very long, so it seems less likely she’d pipe up so early on to share such a shocking ruveal.

Eureka O’Hara: On Twitter, most fans seem to assume this genderfluid Southern queen is the prime suspect. Kentucky did go red, and Eureka has proudly declared herself, “country as a biscuit!” But does that mean she went for Trump’s ‘man of the people’ routine? Possible Twitter clues to add to our yarn wall include her use of an elephant emoji alongside her name.

Is it a reference to being plus-sized and proud? Or is it meant as the sign of the Republican party? And maybe more damning, Eureka follows @RealDonaldTrump on Twitter, verified by Unfollowspy.

And yet, I think there’s a more probable suspect.

Blair St. Clair: Indiana went red for Trump. And from what we learned on last night’s ep, this ingénue from the conservative state was blessed with a religious family who didn’t see a passion for drag or gay identity as a reason to shun her. When Dusty shared his own story of estrangement, gay conversion therapy, and exorcism, Blair seemed genuinely shocked that such a thing could happen. So, maybe it’s possible that Blair voted for Trump with this same kind of naiveté.

Pair this with the timing of Asia’s comment, and it might mean she was suggesting the queen in question dropped clues in episode three. And if you really want to dig into the shade side of things, maybe Asia’s a bit jealous that baby Blair is getting so much attention right out the gate?

Now, let’s be clear: voting for Trump doesn’t mean any of these queens should have their careers derailed. But it’s impossible to imagine their popularity wouldn’t take a hit. However, whichever queen it might be has the potential to make a moment of all this, addressing why they made the choice they did, whether they regret it, and how they’re looking to move forward regardless. Because as tempting as it might be, we don’t get to just eliminate Trump voters from our country and community as if they are a flailing queen with a wonky runway look.

Still, I suspect whoever she is, she’ll take a cue from season one champion and All Stars 3 myster machine. BeBe Zahara Benet: “If anyone is curious about anything, just know you’ll be curious for the rest of your life.”

Which season 10 queen do you think voted for Trump?
