With Susan Collins and Rand Paul dead set against voting for Trumpcare, Mitch McConnell could only afford to lose one Republican Senator before the bill is voted on. Tonight, he has lost two. Kansas Senator Jerry Moran and Utah Senator Mike Lee have decided, seemingly in tandem, not to support the AHCA.

That’s four, and while both Senators seem to be rejecting the bill because it’s not a full repeal and not because it fails to cover enough people, Democrats will take rejection any way we can get it.
Trump was supposed to have dinner with several Republican Senators tonight to work on healthcare, but neither Lee nor Moran were invited. Meanwhile, now that the bill is all but dead, I’m sure that Marco Rubio will chime in to say that he was never going to vote for it, anyway.
Coward.
