To reiterate: The IG’s report on the Hillary email investigation revealed that a number of individuals at the FBI — about five, including James Comey and Peter Strzok — bungled the shit out of it. James Comey was cited for insubordination for holding a press conference to announce the results of the Hillary email investigation without speaking to the DOJ first; several FBI agents dragged their feet on the investigation of Hillary, leading that that bombshell very close to the election that Hillary was still being investigated; and yes, Peter Strzok clearly expressed anti-Trump animus in his emails with Lisa Page (while I sympathize with that animus, even I can concede that it’s inappropriate for members of the FBI).
But for Hillary, nothing may be more galling than this, from The Washington Post:
The report determined that several FBI investigators — including Comey — also broke bureau protocol by using “personal email accounts for official government business.”The inspector found five instances in which Comey either drafted official messages on or forwarded emails to his personal account, and at least two instances in which Strzok used his personal email for official business — including one “most troubling” instance on Oct. 29, 2016, when he forwarded “an email about the proposed search warrant the midyear team was seeking on the Weiner laptop” from his FBI account to his personal email.
Are you kidding me?
Or, to put it another way:
At least she still has a sense of humor.
