Yo, Tawny Kiracist, Central America Has Better Vaccination Rates Than The U.S.

Hey, remember Nazi Skipper, Aryan Barbie’s adorable little sister? Turns out Fox is banking on her giving your dad a big enough boner that he’ll drop $5.99 a month on the new Fox Nation streaming service that launched yesterday. With this incredible foray into digital news, Pops will not only get to see the Tanya robot’s mouth move, but it’ll also regurgitate week-old Fox News articles that have already been debunked.

Despite its younger chassis, the T-White Thousand clearly lacks the capacity to create new scare tactics that haven’t been around for God knows how long. As for the facts of this particular claim, Politifact has the numbers, and a whopping 11 migrants have exactly two of the diseases that Tarby mentioned.

The Fox News report attributes its information to health officials in Tijuana saying there were “three confirmed cases of tuberculosis, four cases of HIV/AIDS and four separate cases of chickenpox.” The story pointed out other health concerns at the sports complex where migrants were taking shelter, including a “threat of hepatitis outbreak due to unsanitary conditions.” Lice and skin infections were also a problem, the report said.

Officials for the Mexican state of Baja California told PolitiFact on Dec. 3 that the state government was providing medical attention to caravan members in shelters within its cities, Tijuana and Mexicali. State officials said there were no registered cases for tuberculosis, that seven migrants in Tijuana had chickenpox, and that there were four with HIV (two in Tijuana, two in Mexicali).

Where Fox deliberately tried to mislead racist buttholes is by taking the number of migrants who have been treated for “acute respiratory infections” — a.k.a. the common cold — and throwing that under the same umbrella as goddamn AIDS. Which it obviously is not. And if you have kids, then you know there’s no way the migrant caravan is any more of a threat than your average school. There’s a government file on how often I buy Robitussin, and it’s every f**king day for nine months out of the year. They should sell it by the keg.

On that note, any time this stupid-ass argument rears its head, it’s almost immediately smacked down by the fact that most Central American countries have a better vaccination rate than the U.S. if not pretty darn close. To drive that point home, as of this post, measles outbreaks have been reported in 26 states because of moron Americans, not migrants, who’ve convinced themselves that they’re smarter than the doctors and scientists who figured out how to stop kids from dying from what are now easily preventable diseases.

Seriously, if you know an anti-vaxxer, tell them to go ask an old person how many classmates went home from school one day and never came back, or how many times they had to stay inside for recess because there was a polio outbreak in the next town over. (My 80-year-old grandmother still vividly remembers that last one, and she’s battling dementia.) Those are the disease-filled days we’re hurtling back to as a society, and it’s not from granting asylum to refugees.

It’s because of privileged white shitheads who already live here, Tangy.
