One time, it’s a funny coincidence. Twice, it’s weird. Three times, and it starts to get gravely prescient and yet, here we are. Pop culture has predicted a Trump presidency three times, long before the idea of Trump becoming President was in the national consciousness.

Take Rage Against the Machine, who 15 years ago released the video for “Sleep Now in Fire,” which predicted a world run by business men and corporations, with mock signs predicting Donald Trump running for president.

Back in a 2000 episode, The Simpsons also predicted a Trump presidency, when the episode feature a glimpse of our 2030 future, when Donald Trump was ending his reign as President, leaving a huge amount of debt behind.

Then, of course, there’s Back to the Future II, which predicted 25 years ago that Biff Tannen, who legalized gambling and made a fortune in casinos, would also make a bid for political power. Tannen, as Back to the Future II writer Bob Gale recently revealed, was based on Donald Trump.

The similarities are hard to miss.

We have never needed Marty McFly more.
