The 90’s band Third Eye Blind — who have hits like “Semi-Charmed Life,” “Never Let You Go,” and “How’s It Going to Be” — played none of them during a Republican National Convention linked concert last night at Cleveland’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Instead Third Eye Blind lead singer Stephan Jenkins basically taunted the crowd at the event.
Third Eye Blind is 100% trolling Republicans. 30 minutes in, zero songs anybody has heard of

“Raise your hand if you believe in science,” he asked at one point. Republican concert goers were bummed that the band decided not to play any hits, but Third Eye Blind didn’t care.

The 10-song set list did include one hit song, “Jumper,” which is about a gay friend of theirs who took his own life by jumping off a bridge. Third Eye Blind ended the show with a plea for gay rights, much to the booing consternation of the crowd in attendance.
“To love this song, is to take into your heart the message and to actually, actually have a feeling to arrive and move forward and not live in fear and imposing that fear onto other people,” frontman Jenkins told the crowd.

Epic @ThirdEyeBlind troll of RNC event. Played none of the hits, bashed GOP platform, asked "Who here believes in science?" So much booing.

Our Uber driver is telling us he just had a bunch of passengers who were very pissed off after attending Third Eye Blind

The band was apparently more concerned about “science and rights” than they were about hurting the charity for which they were performing at the RNC concert.
@hunterw Great question. We were not, as musicians on call were well aware of who we are and our take on things (like science and rights!)

Good for you, Third Eye Blind. You are no longer just a mediocre band from the 90s. You are an awesome mediocre band from the 90s.
Third Eye Blind played the RNC. Performed none of their hits and insulted everyone there? If true I'm listening to them all day tomorrow lol
