The Rogue Twitter Accounts Allegedly From Inside the White House Are Giving the Resistance Life

Quite a few rogue Twitter accounts have popped up in recent days, in the wake of the National Parks Service creating an alternate account after Donald Trump shut the official one down. Honestly, we have no idea which ones are real and which ones are not, and given the surreal nature of our current administration, the tweets supposedly coming from within the government all sound plausible.

Is this fake news? Alternative facts? Or anonymous civil servants joining the resistance? Honestly, we have no idea, but some of the tweets we are seeing sound both insane and all too possible.

Here’s a few examples from the various rogue accounts, and it’s worth stressing again that these are not verified, so take whatever you see with a giant grain of salt (that said, the alt accounts for NASA, the USDA, the NIH, and EPA are almost certainly real. The ones inside the White House? I dunno.)

We’ll begin with this anecdote from Bill Clinton’s former Secretary of Labor, which is real. It sets the tone.
