The son of Khizr Khan, Muslim American war hero Capt. Humayun Khan, died in combat in Iraq in 2004. Tonight, that father spoke at the Democratic National Convention. He spoke out against Donald Trump’s characterization of Muslims from the perspective of a patriot. As someone whose son sacrificed his life for this country, as someone who sacrificed his son for this country. As someone who knows what it means to sacrifice for this country.
And he put Donald Trump in his goddamn place.

Thank you to this family, and shame, shame, shame on all who've allowed rhetoric like Trump's to spread. https://t.co/o3Nf5yMa4o

Khizr Khan's "You have sacrificed nothing" was the most polite, elegant, "Fuck off you gutless sissy" I've ever heard. Yay. #DemsInPhilly

And that speech is the quickest I've ever sent my parents a video.
