Ted Cruz Takes A, Uh, Bold Stand Against Donald Trump

At this point, I honestly do not understand why the other Republicans in the Presidential field have not stated, without equivocation, that they will not support Donald Trump if he is the nominee. Are they so cynical and ambitious that they fear denouncing Trump will cost them a place in his White House? If either Rubio or Cruz want to set themselves apart, should they not go on record stating that they will not support Trump?

In last week’s debate, both candidates stated that they would support the eventual nominee. Over the weekend, an exasperated Rubio came close to backing off that statement.

“I mean, I already talked about the fact that I think Hillary Clinton would be terrible for this country, but the fact that you’re even asking me this question,” he said, pausing before continuing. “I still at this moment continue to intend to support the Republican nominee, but it’s getting harder every day,” later warning that Trump’s nomination would “fracture the Republican Party.”

Did Cruz finally grow a pair and announce that he would no longer support Trump?

Kind of.

Wow, that’s bold, Ted. Real bold. You mean to tell us that, if Trump straight-up murdered someone, you’d maybe refuse to endorse him? Maybe. That’s your line, huh? Murder. You sackless husk of hate and ambition.
